About
RidgeKit Play started as a group chat where three friends kept arguing about which tower defence games were worth the storage space. At some point the arguments got long enough that writing them down made more sense than typing them over and over.
We focus on strategy, tower defence, and the stuff that sits next to those genres on a touchscreen. The idea is simple: install a game, play it for a few evenings, and only write about it once we have an opinion that would survive a conversation with a skeptical friend.
Games end up in our catalogue for one reason — somebody on the team genuinely wanted to keep playing. We ignore marketing cycles and chase whatever is fun to tap, drag, and plan around. If a game bores us by the second mission, it usually doesn't make the page.
Nobody pays us to be nice. When something is clunky we say so, and when a small studio nails the pacing we make noise about it. That's the whole deal.
